2008 STUDY TOUR OF JAPANESE INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMS Welcome to the country of the modern and the old!

ITINERARY | TOUR REGISTRATION | ONLINE PAYMENTS

Period: November 30 - December 5, 2008
Itinerary: Tokyo - Kyoto - Kuwana - Tokyo

Cost: $1830 per person (¥198000, €1235):
Includes accommodations (6 nights), most meals, transport (including a ride on the world-famous "bullet train"), assistance of a full coordinator and on-site facilitators, and materials.

Japan is aging faster than any society in the world. Visit the cutting-edge City of Tokyo, the oldest City of Kyoto, and the small-sized quiet city of Kuwana.

SITE VISITS:

Kyoto:
Takatsukasa Nursery School (IG program focused on environmental education and preservation)

Kuwana:
Jiritsukyoseikai (a shared site for older adults with dementia and after-school-children)

Tokyo:
Gakken IP initiative site (educational setting)
Kotoen (a shared site for older adults with a nursery school)
Mitaka Fourth Elementary School (model focused on community development)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

The program is rich in intergenerational experiences but also allows free time for you to individually discover the land and people, shop or just relax.
